Salisbury High School continues to stay active and connected through a variety of events, fundraisers and opportunities that encourage students to give back, get involved and celebrate school spirit. Falcons have many ways to participate and make an impact as the season continues.
One upcoming opportunity combines fun and service with the bocce fundraiser. Students are encouraged to donate $5 for a chance to play one frame of bocce against Salisbury’s Unified Bocce team. Participants can bring their own team or join others, making it a great way to support an important cause while enjoying time on the court with friends.
Students who enjoy reading and teamwork may be interested in joining Reading Olympics, a yearly academic competition for students. This year’s competition will take place April 9, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Middle School, where Salisbury will face off against other high schools. Teams prepare by reading from a list of 25 selected books and answering questions during the competition. Team members will work together to divide up the reading. Interested students should complete the Google Form sent in an email dated Dec. 11.
Athletics supporters can also take part in the SHS softball booster club fundraiser, featuring gift cards and lottery scratch-off bundles. There are six bundles available to win and prize details can be viewed on the Salisbury Softball Facebook page. Any questions can be directed to salisbursoftballbc@gmail.com.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the senior video and organizers are asking students to submit photos. Pictures can be recent or older and may include formal senior portraits or informal moments with friends, whether taken at school, at home, during field trips or at dances. The goal is to collect as many memories as possible. Photos should be sent to Sarah Beckage, Class of 2026 vice president, at sabeckage@salisburysd.org.
Finally, students enjoyed the last days of school before Christmas break with Spirit Week, which took place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before winter break. Wednesday was Winter White Out, Thursday was Character Dress Up Day and Friday was Pajama Day. With themed days and school pride on display, Spirit Week gave students a chance to come together, have fun and show their Falcon pride heading into the holiday break.
Through service opportunities, academic challenges, creative expression and school spirit, Salisbury High School continues to offer meaningful ways for students to stay engaged and connected, strengthening both the school community and student experiences.
