Robert Kritzer
Robert Stephen Kritzer, 85, of Allentown, died peacefully Dec. 21, 2025. He and his wife, Roberta Kritzer, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary April 10. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Abraham and Toby Kritzer.
He was a member of Chabad Lubavitch of the Lehigh Valley.
He attended Long Island University, became a certified public accountant and served as the CFO of Bunzel Paper Corporation.
He was also an accomplished musician and his passion for music began at a very early age. He played multiple instruments, including the alto saxophone, clarinet and flute.
On July 24, 1958, his band, The Wildtones, performed the songs “Shut-ups” and “Martian Band” on the Dick Clark ABC-TV weekday afternoon program “American Bandstand.” He worked as a professional musician for many years after that with the Stephen Scott Music Orchestra.
He served in the Army reserves and was a musician in the Army band.
In addition to his wife; son, Erik (Galina); daughters, Lori Margolis (Greg), Leslie, Lauren; stepchildren, Lara Moretti (Tony), Edward Schwartz (Gail); grandchildren, Sam, Gabe, Blake, Jesse, Mia, Sarah, Michael, Annie, Leah.
He was predeceased by a brother, Elliot.
