Coplay Fire Department and Fire Police are under new leadership with fire Chief Dakota Fenstermaker, who wishes all residents in Coplay a happy holiday season.
If you want to serve Coplay and surrounding communities, consider joining the fire company. It is seeking volunteer firefighters and fire police.

Model Railroad Explorer Post 101 is again holding its holiday model railroad display open house in room 201 at borough hall, 98 S. Fourth St. The large, operating HO-scale layout will be open for the public 7-9 p.m. Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 2026, and noon-4 p.m. Dec. 27 and 28 and Jan. 3 and 4, 2026.
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.

The heritage committee at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., will be holding its Silvester Feier New Year celebration Dec. 31. Ring in the New Year with European flair.
Join the party for a hot buffet meal 3 p.m., music by the Emil Shanta Band 4-7 p.m., cake with coffee 5 p.m. and a 6 p.m. Champagne toast (coinciding with midnight in Europe).
The cost includes the meal, beer, wine, soda, water and juice.

Consider donating food to Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building. It is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.
The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Public works Director Paul Boyle reminds residents to call the borough office at 610-262-6088 to schedule pickups of sofas, mattresses (plastic encased), chairs, dressers, etc. There is a limit of two per year at no charge.

Hometown Hero banner applications are available at the borough office. Publicly honor your war heroes and first responders — police officers, firefighters, and ambulance personnel — with a banner.

Coplay aerobics classes are held 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the borough hall auditorium. Bring dumbbells, a towel and a mat to enhance your workout.
There is a small cost by donation.

Coplay Athletic Club is seeking new and renewal memberships. A gym membership costs $90 per year and $80 for renewals and prorated.
The gym is located on the second floor of the borough municipal building.
