Susan M. Dougherty, 76, of Northampton, died Dec. 6, 2025, at home. She was wife of James Dougherty for 54 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William “Willie” and Lorraine (Gronotsky) Ifkovits.

She was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Class of 1966.

She was employed as a legal secretary for Russell Kowalyshyn, Frank Yandrisevits, Gerald Roth and John Obrecht.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Scott and wife Sharyn, Thomas, Stacey, William and wife Tanya and Samuel and wife Kate; six grandchildren, Paige, Abby, Sam, Maura, Ryan and Nadia; six siblings, Joseph, Kathleen Schock, Barbara, Mary Anne, Michael and Lori; a sister-in-law, Louise; a brother-in-law, Robert; a niece; and five nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, William Jr.; a sister, Margaret; a brother-in-law, Ambrose; and a sister-in-law, Sally.

Funeral services will be private.
