Joseph P. Kovacs, 73, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. He and his wife, Heidi A. (Klimm) Kovacs, celebrated 40 years of marriage in June. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary (Zatko) Kovacs.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown and was a graduate of Dieruff High School, Lehigh Carbon Community College and Muhlenberg College.

He retired from Mack Trucks after 18 years of service as a production technician. He previously was employed as a purchasing agent for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 24 years.

He loved to go fishing and trips to Atlantic City with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jason and his wife, Therese and Kevin; grandchildren, Carson, Connor and Calina.
