Whitehall-Coplay School District is accepting donations for the victims of a fire on Maryland Circle, Whitehall, Dec. 13. Suggestions include gift cards for Walmart, Target, Giant, Weis, Aldi, gas stations, haircut businesses, laundromats and restaurants. WCSD is also accepting monetary donations.

According to the district, it is confirmed two WCSD families have endured a total loss, and three families have sustained moderate damage.

The last school day of the year is Dec. 19, but WCSD is hoping to have everything by Dec. 18.

Drop off your donations to Michelle Khouri, district registrar/community relations, at her office at the education center, 2932 Zephyr Blvd., Whitehall. If you have questions, call Khouri at 610-439-1431, ext. 1014.

Steckel Elementary School students will perform their holiday concert 7 p.m. Dec. 18 in the auditorium at Whitehall High School. Plan to come out for some holiday festive music!

Interact Club is taking donations to send help to those who have been affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. Items include unused clothes, nonperishable food, hygiene products and more. A list of possible items is on the bulletin board in the CEC.

Items must be dropped off to Mr. Adams in A109 by Dec. 19.

WCSD will be closed for winter break from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2, 2026. The schools will reopen Jan. 4, 2026.
