To the Editor:

Thank you to everyone who helped make Salisbury Township’s first Light Up Night such a wonderful success. We are incredibly grateful to the Boy Scouts for volunteering their time and ensuring the evening ran smoothly, as well as to our department of public works team for their steady support throughout the event.

We also extend our thanks to the Eastern and Western Salisbury fire departments and St. Luke’s Ambulance for their presence and assistance throughout the evening.

A special thank you goes to the Salisbury Township School District High School Band for providing festive holiday music that helped set the tone for the evening.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our generous sponsors:

•Giant Food Stores for donating hot dogs, buns and water

•Salisbury Township Police Officers’ Association for providing hot chocolate

•St. Luke’s Pediatrics for supplying s’mores kits

•Belles Tree Service for providing wood for the fire pit

We also thank the following businesses for their monetary contributions, which allowed us to bring live reindeer to the event: Scott Family Dealerships, Lehigh Valley Health Network and Gross McGinley.

And finally, thank you to our community. The turnout was greater than we could have imagined and your enthusiasm made the night truly special.
