Lioness scarf shower welcomes visitors

Press Photo by Sharon SchrantzThe Chase the Chill Scarf Shower event is an annual event in the Emmaus Triangle run by the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club. This year club members debuted a memorial bench honoring Saundra Link. Link started her years of service as a charter member of the Emmaus Lioness Club formed in 1979. She was club president from 1990-1991. She was instrumental in the idea of displaying handmade scarves and donating to the public. She served on the board of directors at various times and her last position was parliamentarian. ABOVE: Pictured are friends and family of Saundra including Mirian, Melanie and Stephen Fogel, Sandy Lucas, Lucille Walper, Ace Culver, Kendra and Douglas Link, Marlene Stepko, Kay Beers, Bobbie Stoudnour, Millie Marsh, Diane Schantz, Tracy Link, Andrea Grim, Joanne Wagner, Sylvia Weber, Ronnie Moore and Vickie Gehman. Additional photos appear on Page A5.
Scott Kline is accompanied to the scarf show by his dog, Nico. Nico had a leg amputation. When he had the operation, a scarf was used to aid Nico’s walking. Now he’s walking without but uses the scarf for adornment.PRESS PHOTOS BY SHARON SCHRANTZ
