Foxy’s Cradle hosted its “Cocoa, Cookies with the Kittens” fundraiser 1-4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Friedens Fire Company, Slatington, drawing families, animal lovers and plenty of eager young visitors.

Santa Claus made a special appearance 2 p.m., adding to the festive atmosphere.

Foxy’s Cradle is a registered nonprofit, foster-based neonatal nursery that provides around-the-clock care for orphaned newborn kittens, sick or injured kittens, nursing mothers and other felines found in high-risk situations who require 24/7 specialized support.

The event featured adoptable kittens and adult cats, a hot cocoa and coffee bar, homemade cookies and snacks, a basket and gift card raffle, a 50/50 drawing, festive face painting and live music.

Guests also enjoyed photos and cookies with Santa.

Supporters could sponsor a kitten or contribute through holiday “kitten stockings” to help fund ongoing care needs.
