FHS falls to Easton

Freedom’s swim team hosted Easton in its season opener under new head coach JJ Apostolico on Dec. 4.

Top Patriot performers for the girls team were the 200 medley relay of Lily Campbell, Emma Amato, Sequoia Searfass, and Daisy Stewart (2:19.84), diver Hayden Taylor (268.75 points), Campbell in the 100 backstroke (1:15.91), and Stewart in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.09).

The Freedom girls lost 96-84 while the boys fell 120-60.

Campbell came in second in the 100 freestyle, missing first place by less than one second.

Top Patriot performers for the boys team were Griffin Kleinle in the 200 freestyle (1:58.09), and diver Cody Smith (267.45 points).

Antonios Tatakis placed second in the 100 butterfly, also missing first place by less than one second.

Second place points were awarded to Asa Lawser, Ben Rader, Cristian Urena, and Aiden Schankel in the 200 medley relay, Laney Stewart in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly, Mila Lowe and Kleinle in the 500 free, Searfass, Campbell, Marissa Phalen, and Laney Stewart in the 200 free relay, Kleinle, Urena, Tatakis, and Rader in the 200 free relay, Laney Stewart, Phalen, Amato, and Daisy Stewart in the 400 free relay, and Joseph Volkert, Jack Amato, Tatakis, and Kleinle in the 400 free relay.

This week, Freedom will host Southern Lehigh on Dec. 11.
