Whitehall Township Public Library: Christmas, Kwanaa family storytimes planned for Dec. 11, 18

Holiday family storytimes are back 11 a.m. at Whitehall Township Public Library — Dec. 11 will be Christmas themed, and Dec. 18, we will learn about Kwanzaa.

Kids from 1-year-old to kindergarten age can participate in stories, activities and crafts.

Registration is required.

The library is accepting donations for Toys for Tots through Dec. 15. Toys must be new and unwrapped.

Toys for Tots will not distribute any gifts that look like realistic weapons or anything with food.

The library is planning family movie nights. The next one will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 17. Come watch “Last Holiday” with us!

The library is running a food drive for Whitehall Food Pantry. Help us assist local families by donating through December.

We accept food donations all year, but this is a special drive to help even more families in need.

The adult winter reading challenge runs Jan. 2-March 31, 2026. During this time, adults can register and pick up a winter reading bookmark. Complete the bookmark and receive a small prize.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come and discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

The Death Cafe, a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, meets 6:30 p.m. the third Monday of the month.

The library’s regular hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
