We are still roughly 10 days away from the official start of winter. However, lately, the mercury has been taking a dive. Remember to check on your elderly friends and family and neighbors to make sure they have plenty of food, water and a source of heat.

Also, give your pets a warm safe haven by keeping them indoors during these cold spells.

There are many fun things to do in the Lehigh Valley during the holidays. The Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is just one example of a fun excursion close to our community!

The zoo is holding its annual Winter Light Spectacular. Get in the holiday spirit and enjoy over 1.2 million lights. This is a fun time for children and adults alike, and the zoo has fire pits, photo opportunities and seasonal treats, along with live performances.
