Fullerton American Legion Post 367 member
Robert Yost, 92, of Whitehall, died Dec. 4, 2025. He was the husband of the late Joan E. (Mooney) Yost for 65 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Zarecky) Yost.
He was a graduate of Whitehall High School.
He served in the U.S. Army and was part of the atomic nuclear test sites in the Nevada desert, known as Operation Teapot.
He was a lifetime member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
He was co-owner of Yost Bros. Surplus Sales and had previously operated Yost Bros. Arco Station in Fullerton. Following retirement, he enjoyed working as a crossing guard for Catasauqua Area School District.
He is survived by two daughters, Wendy Dolan and husband Bob and Natalie Phillips and husband Allen; five grandchildren, Rob Dolan and wife Megan, Ryan Dolan, Erin Dolan, Austin Phillips and wife Ashley and Maggie Phillips; four great-grandchildren, Katie, Jameson, Greyson and Emerson; a sister, Betty Millham and husband Dale; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Frank.
There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by American Legion honors 11 a.m., Dec. 12 in the mausoleum chapel of Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1600 Airport Road, Allentown.
