John W. Brittain Jr., 69, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 5, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He and his wife, Pamela (Gilbert) Brittain, shared 25 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John W. Brittain Sr. and Charlotte D. (Gackenbach) Brittain.
He was a 1974 graduate of William Allen High School.
He worked as a machinist at Ingersoll Rand for 17 years and later at National Magnetics for 13 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for nearly 45 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John W. III, of North Carolina; stepson, Kyle D. Pickin, of Whitehall; sisters, Cheryl Koehler and her husband, Jeffrey, of South Whitehall Township, Lori Hrebik and her husband, John, of Allentown; nephew, Barry Rhode (Paula); nieces, Caitlin Hrebik and Megan Fretz (Nathan).
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in Arlington Memorial Park, 3843 Lehigh St., Whitehall. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
