James R. VanDuzer, 80, of North Whitehall Township, died Dec. 1, 2025. He was the loving husband of Ruth A. (Crane) VanDuzer to whom he was married 58 years. Born in Plainfield, Union County, N.J., he was the son of the late James R. VanDuzer Sr. and Mae V. (Smith) VanDuzer.
He was employed as a science and Bible teacher and school principal of the former Lehigh Valley Christian High School from 1982 to 2014.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Kathleen (daughter-in-law), of Northampton, Scott T. and Stephanie, of Asia, Margaret R. “Meg” and John Bull, of North Whitehall Township, David S. and Rachel, of New Hampshire; siblings, Virginia L. Fitzpatrick (Neil), of Philadelphia, Judith R. Uno (John), of Oregon, David P. (Carol), of Virginia, Sally A. Fulton (Dan), of Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, James D.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and faith 11 a.m. Dec. 13, at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 18103. A light lunch will follow.
