James Adrian Murphy died Nov. 26, 2025. He was the husband of the late Louise Murphy.

He was a son of the late Marvin and Helen Murphy.

He took over his father’s part-time business as the owner and principal mechanic of Murphy’s Garage and Auto Sales in Whitehall. He ran his business full time from 1962 to 2006. He sold Benelli and Indian motorcycles from 1969 to 1981. He operated the Spring Mill Motorcycle Scramble Racetrack from 1972 to 1976.

He was a life member of Zinc City Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by two children, Marvin with Karen and Denise with Curtis; three grandchildren, Megan, Melanie and Brett; a sister, Doreen; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Winifred.

There will be a calling time 1-2 p.m., followed by a memorial service 2 p.m., Dec. 14 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
