Georgeianna Chomicky
Georgeianna (Georgia) C. Chomicky, 88, died peacefully at home Nov. 29, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in South Amboy, N.J., she was the daughter of the late William C. Chasey Sr. and Hazel (Kinsler) Chasey. Her husband, Eugene O. Chomicky, predeceased her.
She was a graduate of Mercer Medical Center School of Nursing, Trenton, N.J. and received her bachelor of science in nursing from Syracuse University. As a registered nurse, she had a gift for helping others. Her expansive career encompassed being an ER staff nurse at Mercer Medical Center Trenton, N.J.; assistant head nurse/surgical charge nurse at Syracuse (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital; medical/surgical supervisor at University Hospital Upstate Medical Center Syracuse; Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J.; medical supervisor at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem; day nursing supervisor for County of Lehigh-Cedarbrook, Allentown.
She was a Rainbow Girl (International Order of the Rainbow for Girls) and member of Eastern Star of New Jersey. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, where she was a ruling elder. She was a member of AAUW (past president Allentown branch).
She loved antiquing, going to craft shows, decorating for the holidays, sunbathing in her backyard and spending time with her family. Music was her passion. As the executive director of the Allentown Community Concert Association, she brought artists and audiences together for the performing arts in the Lehigh Valley.
She is survived by daughters Jennifer and Jodi; granddaughter, Ashley.
