Douglas “Duke” A. Harvey, 54, of Schnecksville, died Dec. 3, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Sterling F. and Dawn D. (Dangler) Harvey.

After graduating from Catasauqua High School in 1990, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University and received his master’s degree in special education from Moravian College.

He was a special education teacher for more than 25 years at Whitehall High School.

He enjoyed coaching and was extensively involved with various athletic and academic activities at WHS.

He is survived by two sisters, Robyn L. Berner and husband Mark and Deanna Fuchs and husband Scott; a brother, S. Jeff and wife Maria; two nieces, Megan Berner and Amanda Martin and husband Davon; five nephews, Eric and Ryan, Cody Fuchs, Jared Fuchs and wife Heather and Mathew Fuchs and wife Zoe; four grandnephews; and a grandniece.

A calling period will be held 6-8 p.m. Dec. 11 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
