Coplay: Coplay Sports annual Santa parade scheduled for Dec. 14
The Coplay Sports annual Santa parade begins 9 a.m. Dec. 14 and continues until all gifts are delivered. The rain date is Dec. 21.
Drop gifts off 6-8 p.m. Dec. 12 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 13 at Coplay Sports Fieldhouse, 666 Potter Terrace. Gifts should be about the size of a shoebox and clearly marked with the child’s name, address and a parent’s phone number.

Model Railroad Explorer Post 101 is again holding its holiday model railroad display open house in room 201 at borough hall, 98 S. Fourth St. The large, operating HO scale layout is open for visitors 7-9 p.m. Dec. 19 and 26 and Jan. 2, 2026; and noon-4 p.m. Dec. 20, 21, 27 and 28 and Jan. 3 and 4, 2026.
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.
Explorer Post 101’s mission is to promote interest in the hobby of model railroading to 12-21 year olds. Join the new Explorer Club for youths age 12-14. Meetings are 7-9 p.m. every Thursday on the second floor of the municipal building.

The heritage committee at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., will be holding its Silvester Feier New Years celebration Dec. 31. Ring in the New Year with European flair.
Join the party with a hot buffet meal 3 p.m., music by the Emil Shanta Band 4-7 p.m., cake with coffee 5 p.m. and a 6 p.m. champagne toast (coinciding with midnight in Europe).
The cost includes the meal, beer, wine, soda, water and juice.

Consider donating food to Coplay Food Bank to help those in need during the holiday.
Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.
The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Coplay American Legion Post 426 has an special mailbox in front of the Post at 134 S. Second St. Worn out American flags can be deposited into the mailbox for the Post to properly destroy the flags.
