Congratulations to the Catasauqua Middle School Roughies of the Month for November. The honored students are Lauren Rotell, fifth grade; Javien Santana, sixth grade; Sandra Salima, seventh grade; Chunxi Jiang, eighth grade; and Aaron Caro Gonzalez, related arts.

The CMS Lifeskills students will visit Pennsylvania Youth Theatre 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 11, and the sixth-grade students are scheduled to visit the Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St., Northampton, 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 18.

The CMS PBIS committee will take a trip to the Catasauqua Community Food Bank Dec. 11.

Clubs will be held during period 8 Dec. 18.

The CMS parent teacher forum will host the school’s winter dance 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 12. Students need to bring their ID.

The next CMS PTF meeting is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 16 in the school’s media center.

Looking ahead: The December holiday break starts Dec. 22 and runs through Jan. 2, 2026. Classes resume Jan. 5, 2026.

CMS is in need of a building substitute. A valid Pennsylvania teaching certification is required.
