‘Stuff the Bus’ begins 5th year

The Bethlehem Area School District transportation department’s bus drivers kicked off their fifth annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign on Black Friday with collection points at both the Bethlehem Square shopping center on Linden Street and at Christkindlmarkt on the SteelStacks campus.

Items being collected include new toys for the Marine Corps Reserve’s ‘Toys for Tots’ initiative, nonperishable food items for local food pantries, personal hygiene items, school supplies, new children’s coats and cold weather accessories and cash donations, according to ‘Stuff the Bus’ coordinator Brenda Sciascia.

Collections will continue on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 21 at both locations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday/Tuesday on Dec. 22 and 23 at Bethlehem Square only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
