Open house 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6
The Friends of the 1803 House welcome visitors to Old Fashioned Christmas at The 1803 House, 55 S. Keystone Ave., Emmaus, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6.
Highlights include an open-hearth fire with aromas of gingerbread baking in the Dutch oven; holiday treats; a Christmas tree decorated in the colonial tradition with homemade decorations; Emmaus historic scale model buildings by Andre Fatula; the annual decorated wreath sale; windowsills decorated with greenery and candles; ornament crafting and colonial games for the children; “A Very Merry Holiday Surprise Raffle”; The 1803 House and colonial holiday items for sale and special holiday house tours.
The Emmaus Historical Society, the Knauss Homestead and the Shelter House will also be open as part of Old Fashioned Christmas in Emmaus festivities.
