East Penn School District Golden Age cardholders, bus drivers and crossing guards enjoyed feasting on turkey with gravy, potato filling, green beans and pumpkin pie at the district’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon Nov. 20. Directed by Spencer Koppenol, the Emmaus High School jazz band provided musical entertainment.
The free event featuring Thanksgiving fare at EHS was also held at Eyer Middle School and Lower Macungie Middle School where diners were also serenaded.
National Honor Society members waited tables, as well as serving as greeters at the high school. National Junior Honor Society eighth grade members assisted at the middle schools
Superintendent Dr. Kristen Campbell and EHS Principal Beth Guarriello welcomed the grateful diners and Student Services Director Thomas Mirabella led the prayer of thanksgiving.
