Week 13
Star of Bethlehem remains in 1st with a pair of wins over Dryland 5-3 and 9-3, losing the nightcap 8-6. Leading the way for Star of Bethlehem were Bryan Frankenfield 9-12, Kyle Taylor 6-13 (HR), Walt Hoffert 5-13, with HRs from Joey Hoffert and Breanna Frankenfield. Bernie Yurko, Nate Phares, and Dave Crouthamel (HR) all went 5-13 for Dryland.
Farmersville sandwiched 3-0 and 5-2 wins around a 6-1 loss to St. Paul’s. Leading Farmersville were Dave Deubler 4-10 (HR), Dan Halteman 4-11 and Mark Steigerwalt 3-12. John Hoysan was 4-12, Kevin Gross 4-13 and Jennifer Erkinger 3-10 for St. Paul’s.
After a 9-6 loss in the opener to Emmanuel, Christ UCC came back to win 6-1 and 7-1. Top hitters for Christ UCC included Steve Hunsicker 7-14, Garry Hunsicker 6-15, A.J. Renn 5-15, with HRs from Donnie Laudenslager, Keith Laudenslager and Jason Matula. For Emmanuel, Jon Rice was 5-13, Carlos Soto 4-11 (HR), Bob Bast 4-12 and Tiffany Amato with a HR.
Blessed Trinity beat Ebenezer 9-6 and 2-1, losing the nightcap 2-1. Leading hitters for Blessed Trinity were Chuck Crisafi 6-13, Norm Schoenberger 6-13 (HR), Andy Mickelson 5-13, Todd Jones 4-13, with HRs from Eric Harper and Bob Voron. Jeanne Cristina was 4-7, Paul Yoder and Joe Kish each went 4-12, Joey Blevins 2-5 and Kim Kohl with a HR for Ebenezer.

With a sweep over 2nd place St. Paul’s 9-6, 9-2 and 4-3, Star of Bethlehem increased its lead. Leading the way for Star of Bethlehem were Kyle Taylor 6-13, Scott Hoffert 6-14, Bill Hoke Jr. 5-10 (2 HRs), Breanna Frankenfield 5-11 and Bryan Frankenfield 5-13. Jennifer Erkinger was 6-13, John Hoysan 5-13 (HR) and Dave Clark 5 for 13.
Dryland sandwiched 3-2 and 7-5 wins around a 5-4 lost to Emmanuel. Top hitters included Karen Krome 7-12 (2 HRs), Bernie Yurko 6-13, Nate Phares 5-13 and Dennis Skelton also 5-13 for Dryland. For Emmanuel, Jack Hill was 8-12, Tom Dormeida 6-12 (HR) and Bob Bast 5-11.
Farmersville swept past Ebenezer by scores of 6-5, 7-6 and 3-1. Leading hitters for Farmersville were Dennis Koehler 6-12, Gene Grim 6-14 (HR), Tom George 4 hits and Sue Grim with a HR. Joe Kish was 7-13, Tim Prestosh 7-14, Paul Yoder 5-14 with HRs from John and Charlie Costanzo for Ebenezer.
Blessed Trinity swept Christ UCC 2-0, 3-0 and 6-5. Eric Harper led the Blessed Trinity hitters going 5-12, ‘Buzz’ Heidecker 4-9 (including a grand slam), David Kolman 4-12 and Norm Schoenberger with a HR. For Christ UCC, Garry Hunsicker was 6-12, Steve Hunsicker 5-11 and Keith Laudenslager 4-12.
