Dec. 4

The Salisbury High School winter concert is scheduled 7 p.m. at the school, 500 E. Montgomery St., Allentown.

Wendy Littner Thomson will present the free workshop “Navigating Loss and Grief at the Holidays” 6:30 p.m. at Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.

Dec. 5

The Emmaus Public Library will host its annual holiday book sale 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. In addition to books, including holiday-themed books for children and holiday cookbooks, items for sale will include gently used CDs, DVDs and puzzles. Dec. 6

The Allentown Music Club will present “Sounds of the Season” featuring sacred and secular music 2:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. This will be a combined program featuring The Young Musicians and the adult clubs. The performers are Siobhan DeRemer, soprano; Steven Molloy, tenor; Darlene Ziegler, piano; Camille Vernaar, flute and Brenda Phillips, guest piano. The program coordinator is Siobhan DeRemer. All are welcome. The program is free and open to the public. Three young musicians will also perform in the program.

Old Fashioned Christmas will be held noon to 6 p.m. in Triangle Park, 399 Main St., Emmaus. The event traditionally includes music performances, a tree lighting ceremony, opportunities to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and pet reindeer. Events at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus, will include screenings of “The Nightmare Before Chiristmas” 10:30 a.m. and “White Christmas” 1 p.m.

Dec. 7

Alburtis welcomes visitors to its Holiday Festival starting noon. Highlights will include a tree lighting ceremony.

Dec. 13

Macungie Holiday will be held throughout the borough. Highlights include a scavenger hunt 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a craft fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and gingerbread house contest at Kalmbach Park, 200 Cotton St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
