Paul M. Chiz Jr., 72, of Salisbury Township, died Nov. 23, 2025 in Complete Care at Lehigh Center of Macungie. He and his wife, Beverly Bitting, were fortunate to have shared more than 40 wonderful years together until her passing just one month ago. In his own words, he wanted to acknowledge his love for Beverly by saying, “I have always tried to do the best for both of us and I cannot thank you enough for all your help during my cancer treatments.”
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul M. Chiz Sr. and Theresa E. (Hirschbeck) Chiz.
He was a graduate of Dieruff High School and Kutztown University.
He retired recently from Ahart’s Markets where he was the director of human resources.
Previously, he owned several Dollar Stores and also worked for Laneco Markets as vice president of human resources.
He always took great pride and diligence in where he worked, as well as in his home and caring for his yard. His most enjoyable times were found in dinners out and socializing with his beloved friends and family.
He is survived by stepsons, David and Brian Bitting; granddaughter, Michaela Terril and her husband, Taylor; sister, Kathryn Rhodomoyer and her husband, Joseph; brothers, David and his companion, Karen Loder, Douglas and his wife, Lesa; three nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; two grandnieces.
Services will be private at his request. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
