Kalene Janel Birdsall, 40, of Macungie, died Nov. 24, 2025, with her family by her side, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. She and her husband, Brian E. Birdsall, celebrated 10 years of marriage Aug. 8. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of David Lukow and the late Lynn A. (Tracy) Silfies.

She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church and was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 2003. She attended West Chester University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

She was a volunteer at Alburtis Elementary School.

She was an insurance representative for various insurance companies in the Lehigh Valley, lastly working for Arbor Insurance Company in Allentown.

She enjoyed crafting, making her own Halloween costumes, music (especially her favorite group, Guster) and bunnies.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Luke P. and Hazel R.; father, David Lukow and his wife, Carrie Hamilton; stepfather, Donald Silfies; siblings, Rachel Lukow and her husband, Pete Swavely, Tyler Silfies; feline companions, Gotham and Gibson.

A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 6 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus, 18049. A visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. before the service in the funeral home.
