Charles “Buddy” Edmund Merrill IV, 65, of South Whitehall Township, died Nov. 23, 2025, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Tokyo, Japan. He was the son of the late Charles Merrill III and Patricia Merrill.
He lived a life of devotion to his loved ones and dedicated himself to the success of the family business, Keystone Dodge, Kia & Isuzu Truck. He took great pride in offering services to the families of the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years.
He enjoyed cheering on the Eagles, attending his grandchildren’s events, making people laugh and being in the company of family and friends.
His resilience and unwavering spirit in fighting this illness was drawn from his love for his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen (Worthington) Merrill; children, Charles “Chucky” V (Mandy), Kelly Stoudnour (Cris), Kelly (Sam) Ayache, Chad Buchman (Jennie); grandchildren, Sammy, Emile, Jonathan, John, Charles “Charlie,” Christopher, Owen, Hope and Luke; brothers, Edward, Timothy and Shawn; many nieces and nephews.
Heintzelman–Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown handled the arrangements. The family kindly requests donations be made to Lehigh Valley 17th Street Inpatient Hospice in his name.
