The Upper Lehigh Historical Society will present a clear toy candy and holiday bake sale 1-4 p.m. Dec. 14.
The clear toy candy figures are made by a member in molds in bright colors. Shapes include animals, toys and other familiar objects. There will be an assortment of homemade cookies for your selection. The event will take place at the Schneck log house, 5041 PA Route 873, across from McDonald’s.
Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will host a concert 2 p.m. Dec. 7. The program will feature sacred Christmas music performed by the Glory Ringers, Union Chorale, Praise Band, Junior Choir and Star Song. There will be an opportunity for visitors to sing along with carols. Light refreshments will follow the concert. There is no charge for the concert, but a free will offering may be given to benefit a women’s ministry of the Northern Lehigh Mission District Ingathering.
Director of Music Susan Frickert says the concert will be a musical Christmas card for the community.
Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will stage its Lights in the Grove celebration 3-5 p.m. Dec. 6 with free fun for people of all ages.
Refreshments will include hot chocolate and s’mores. There will be opportunities for crafts and pictures with Santa. Visitors are invited to bring hats and gloves to donate to area agencies.
The lights will brighten the community through the New Year holiday.
The Parkland High School Chorale will present a free concert at Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, 7 p.m. Dec. 14.
