Shane Fillman, has officially signed a professional baseball contract with the Evansville Otters, a partner league of Major League Baseball. Fillman is a former Whitehall player.
The signing represents a defining moment in Fillman’s athletic career – a leap from NCAA Division III competition at Penn State-Abington to professional baseball. Known for his relentless determination, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improvement, Fillman now joins one of the most respected organizations in Minor League Baseball.
“This is a dream come true,” said Fillman. “Ever since I picked up a baseball, my goal has been to play professionally. I’m incredibly grateful to the Evansville Otters for giving me this opportunity, and to everyone who has supported me along the way.”
Behind every great athlete stands a strong support system, and for Shane, that foundation has always been his family. His parents and grandparents have been by his side from the beginning – through early-morning practices, long drives to tournaments, and every challenge in between.
“I wouldn’t be here without my family,” Fillman added. “My mom, dad, and grandparents have sacrificed so much and supported me through every obstacle. Their belief in me has been the driving force behind everything I’ve achieved. This milestone is just as much theirs as it is mine.”
Off the field, Fillman continues to make an impact through athlete training & mentoring and being CEO of Fillman Ventures, his company dedicated to community revitalization, youth baseball instruction, and personal development. By combining his passion for the game with his entrepreneurial drive, Fillman is building a future that extends far beyond baseball. He is currently seeking donations to help him organize and launch his first real estate venture. Contact us or donate through his website if you are an interested.
