Fullerton park gets face-lift

New playground equipment added through grant funding

State Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th, and Whitehall Township officials unveiled new renovations Nov. 13 at Fullerton Memorial Park, 901 Jefferson St. Miller secured an $80,000 state grant for the renovations of new swings, benches, picnic tables, four-piece toddler set, new mega slide and new carpet-certified mulch.

“We need to continue investing and maintaining facilities like Fullerton Memorial Park, where children can be safe and make new memories with their friends and family,” Miller said. “When I visited this park a year ago, I knew I had to help. Today, I had the opportunity to witness the positive impact of the grant I secured for Whitehall Township, which will benefit residents for many years to come.”

Attending the unveiling event was Miller; Whitehall Mayor Joseph Marx Jr.; Brandon Hibbler, Whitehall bureau chief and director of recreation; state Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd; and more.

“On behalf of the people of Whitehall Township, I am personally grateful for everything Sen. Miller does for our township,” Marx said.
