Favorite subject(s): My favorite subjects this year are art and physics. Art is a creative outlet for me, while physics challenges me in the best way.

Activities: I play varsity volleyball, am involved in my school’s musical productions, and a member of National Honor Society and choir.

Next steps: After high school, I plan to attend a four-year college and study engineering.

Career goals: I hope to become either an environmental or mechanical engineer

Heroes: My hero is my older sister, Kristen. She has shown me how to persevere and how hard work pays off. Even though she is far away, I can see how she always goes after what she wants, and I admire her tenacious spirit.

Hobbies: I love to read, paint and sing.

Current job(s): During the summer, I work as a food runner in a restaurant near me.

Volunteer/community work: I have helped coach a few volleyball camps, and I am a director for the Little Hawks Theatre program.

Likes: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Dislikes: I do not like insincere people or spiders.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): Playing Maria in “The Sound of Music” my sophomore year.

Advice for peers: Always follow your passions and try new things. Branching out can only help you discover a passion you never knew you had.
