Richard Joseph Sydlowski, 83, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 17, 2025. Born in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mildred (Hyde) Sydlowski. He was the husband of Joan Marie (Luther) Sydlowski for 56 years. He was a of Liberty HS graduate. He was in the United States Marine Corps.

For many years, he owned and maintained apartment buildings used for Lehigh University student housing with a business partner.

He was a salesman for American Tobacco and later for Silver Creek. He was a Bethlehem Area School District custodian for many years.

He was a longtime member of the Heights A.A.

In addition to his wife, he is survived a brother, David Sydlowski; a sister-in-law, Nancy Luther; a sister-in-law and husband, Helen (Luther) and Donald Hausman; nieces nephews; great-nieces and especially his Riley and Thea Luther; and great-nephews.
