Week 11
With a sweep of Christ UCC 6-4, 7-0 and 2-0, Star of Bethlehem moves into sole possession of 1st place. Leading the Star of Bethlehem hitters were the Frankenfield family, Bryan going 8-13, Breanna 6-12 (2 HRs), Ron 4-12 and Tyler 4-13 with Scott Hoffert going 4-14. Jason Matula was 7-12, Garry Hunsicker 5-13 and A.J. Renn 4-13 for Christ UCC.
St. Paul’s moves into 2nd place with a sweep of Dryland 5-2, 5-0 and 13-0. Top hitters for St. Paul’s included Rich Kern 6-12, Jason Gross 6-14, with Roger Kern and Jen Erkinger each going 5-13 and Alex Gross with a HR, while Greg Johnson was 5-11 for Dryland.
Blessed Trinity sandwiched 6-1 and 7-3 wins around a 7-0 loss to Farmersville. Kevin Remaly led the Blessed Trinity hitters with a 6-13 (2 HRs), Andy Mickelson 6-13 Eric Harper 6-14 and ‘Buzz’ Heidecker with a HR. For Farmersville, Gene Grim was 6-11, Tom George 5-11, Mark Steigerwalt 5-13 (HR) and Kyle Campbell with a HR.
The final match of the night finds Emmanuel sandwiching 13-2 and 1-0 wins around a 5-4 loss to Ebenezer. Leading hitters for Emmanuel were Al Nesbitt 7-15, Andrew Rogers 5-14 (HR), Bob Bast 5-15 And Tori Dormeida with a HR. Tori Eppright was 4-10 (cycle for the night), John Costanzo was 4-12 and Sean Costanzo 2-6 for Ebenezer.
