Virginia ‘Ginny’ L. Chromiak, 92, of Catasauqua, died Nov. 13, 2025. She was the wife of Robert W. Chromiak for 71 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Clara (Schmoyer) Smith.

She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School.

She was a secretary for several businesses in Catasauqua. After her children were grown, she worked as a cafeteria worker for Catasauqua Area School District.

She was a longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown.

She was a member of Catasauqua Garden Club. She was a longtime member of Curves.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Gregg and wife Donna of Catasauqua, Leslie Richie and fiancé Michael Hoch of Catasauqua, Gary Chromiak and wife Toni Zuper of Lansdowne and Jane and husband Neil Super of Shepherdstown, W.V.; 11 grandchildren, Helene, Marissa, Nicholas, Cara, Daniel, Lauren, Michelle, Lindsay, Courtney, Erin and Katy; and six great-grandchildren, Maren, Lena, Thomas, Benjamin, Jackson and Everett.

She was predeceased by six siblings; and a daughter, Christine L.

There will be a memorial service 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032.
