Northampton: Celebrate holiday at Nov. 22 event
The borough is hosting Northampton Hometown Holidays, set for 1-7 p.m. Nov. 22 on the grounds of the recreation center, 1 Lerchenmiller Drive. Join the borough as it transforms into a winter wonderland for the annual holidays celebration!
Enjoy a festive afternoon and evening filled with holiday music, the annual tree lighting, photos with Santa, local vendors and family fun.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., is holding its nut roll sale. Orders must be received by Nov. 28. Pickup is 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 13.
Flavors include apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry and pumpkin roll.

Pennsylvania Classical Ballet is presenting “The Nutcracker” at the historic Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St. The show times will be 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 6 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will be hosting a Christmas organ concert 3-4 p.m. Dec. 14. Marisa Deshler, Grace UCC’s minister of music, will provide Christmas music and music of women organists.
A reception with cookies and beverages will follow in the church fellowship hall. There is no cost, but a freewill offering will be accepted to support the church music fund.

Northampton Area School District’s community education classes are continuing. The last day of Stixercise, with Michelle Heisler, is 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 25 in the multipurpose room at Siegfried Elementary. Dance to 1980s music with plastic drumsticks for a fun, complete workout. There are a lot of lunges and squats in this workout. Bring water and a mat. Modifications for beginners will be shown.
An art and craft night, with Pamela Gross, will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the multipurpose room at Siegfried. Attendees will make a tree wreath. All supplies will be provided.
Registration is required, and no drop-ins will be accepted. Registration will close one week before the craft night.
