Moore Township: Moore Township Recreation Committee to meet Nov. 20

The township recreation committee will meet 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

Moore Township Police Department is taking part in No Shave November to raise awareness and funds, with all donations going to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Officers are following the slogan “help us make a difference — one beard at a time.”

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the municipal building. A meeting agenda is available on the township website, mooretownship.org.

The township land and environmental protection board will next meet 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the municipal building.

Moore Township Association for Families in Need meets the second Tuesday of each month at Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive.

Bingo is played 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 5 p.m.

Township police request all motorists drive defensively and be on guard for kids riding bikes and motorcycles.

Township yard waste drop-off is 7 a.m.-2:25 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 7 a.m.-dusk Saturdays at the township complex. Note the time change during the week. Drop-off is closed most holidays.

The bins for drop-off are located near the public works garage, through the gate and to the right. There is one bin for weeds and one bin for brush.
