Michael Alan Booke
Michael Alan Booke, 57, died Nov. 12, 2025. He was the husband of Donna Booke since 1997.
He was a son of Alvin and Rita (Penkrot) Booke.
He graduated in 1986 from East Brunswick High School in New Jersey. He attended Kutztown University and graduated with a degree in criminal justice. He went on to complete the Pennsylvania State Police Academy to become a Pennsylvania State Police trooper.
He devoted 25 years to PSP as a trooper and then as fire marshal of Troop M, Bethlehem. He was a lifelong firefighter. He joined East Brunswick Fire District 1, Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department in 1987 where he actively served until becoming a PSP trooper. In 1998, he joined Northampton Fire Department. He dedicated 27 years to his community, eventually becoming a captain. He helped with junior cadet summer camp and did various events and trainings with the dive team.
He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Phan Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Dana Werkheiser and husband Leo of Northampton and Danielle Cortright of Nazareth; four grandchildren, Piper Cortright, Jax Werkheiser, Josiah Cortright and Mya Werkheiser; two brothers, Steven and wife Tara and Jason and wife Tanya; two nieces, Sophia and Ella; a sister, Cynthia Harris; and two nieces, Marina and Loralei Harris.
A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m. Nov. 29 at the fire house, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive, Northampton, 18067.
