St. John’s UCC member
Larry Lee Albright, 84, of Whitehall, died Nov. 11, 2025, while a resident at Fellowship Community. He was the husband of the late Freda May (Furney) Albright for 60 years.
Born in Columbia, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Udelle L. and Dorcas R. (Smeltzer) Albright.
He was a 1959 graduate William Penn High School in York.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was the longtime manager of Weis Markets in the Whitehall Mall for more than 43 years, before retiring in 2000. He and his family also owned Carvel Ice Cream on MacArthur Road from 1979 through 1986.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton, where he previously served on consistory and the property and personnel committees.
He enjoyed his membership with Whitehall Lions Club and spending time at his hunting camp in Carbon County. He was a longtime member of Eureka-West Shore Lodge 302 F&AM in Mechanicsburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Lyn C. Saitta with husband Chris of Glenmoore and Andria D. Dallago of Allentown; two grandsons, Dima and Josh of Glenmoore; and a brother, Robert of York.
There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Nov. 29 at the Zentz Center at Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall.
