CMS News: Students take first in competition

Congrats to Catasauqua Middle School students Zoey Kalman, Avery Geiger, Layla Povenski and Adriana VanNote on winning first place in the 5-8 category of the regional Invention Convention Nov. 17 at Lehigh Carbon Intermediate Unit 21, for their project called Shine Time! These students now move on to the state competition in Hershey in February 2026.

Students will wear red Nov. 21 to show their awareness of homelessness.

During the parent-teacher conferences Nov. 24 and 25, students will be dismissed 11 a.m.

***

Students will be dismissed 11 a.m. Nov. 26 after the pep rally.

Schools will be closed Nov. 27-Dec. 1.

CMS is in need of a building substitute. A valid Pennsylvania teaching certification is required.
