Bach Steel structure draftsman
Leonard M. Gentilcore died Nov. 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Libero and Maria (Schiavone) Gentilcore. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Pavlinsky) Gentilcore for 72 years.
He was a Bethlehem Vo-Tech graduate.
He was a structural draftsman at Bethlehem Steel Corp.until he retired in 1986. He continued working at Reimer and Fischer Engineering and later at Lehigh Valley Technical Associates when he retired again in 2013.
He was a long-time member of St. Ursula’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Donna Marie Benner and spouse Cornelius of Salisbury Township, Joanne Bohonyi of Mechanicsburg and Michael Gentilcore and spouse Christine of Macungie; five grandchildren, Cornelius Benner III, William Bohonyi, Christopher Bohonyi, Tori Gentilcore and Allison Gentilcore; and two great-grandchildren, Preston Bohonyi and Cornelius (CJ) Benner IV.
He was predeceased by three siblings, Mary Strawn, Concetta Saling and Vincent Gentilcore.
