Geraldine Patricia “Gerry” Holzinger, 88, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 8, 2025. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Anna (Kovacs) Holzinger and the late Joseph Holzinger.

She was a 1955 Liberty HS and in 1958 from Sacred Heart School of Nursing and in 1984,

earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cedar Crest College.

She served at Sacred Heart Hospital for more than five decades during which she was promoted to unit nurse. She was in the Eye Clinic, also. She was honored by Sacred Heart HealthCare System for 55 years of exemplary service. She retired after 57 years.

She is survived by a sister, Jean H. Somers; and nephews Lori (Diehl) Williams, Jeffrey Diehl, Angela (Holzinger) Hertzog, Raphael J. Holzinger Jr., Anne (Fletcher) Gold, James R. Holzinger, Rebekah Holzinger and Jessica Holzinger; grand-and great-grandnieces; and grand-and great-grandnephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ann Fletcher and Theresa Diehl; and two brothers Raphael and James J. Holzinger.
