Doubleheader offered at Eyer Middle School Nov. 14, 15

Eyer Middle School presents a doubleheader of Ian McWethy’s “Mascots” and “Friday Night Sprites” by Don Zolidis 7 p.m. Nov. 14 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the school auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online. While there are no leads in these two act plays, the cast and crew members work together to provide entertaining interpretations with each performance. The cast includes, Amelia Alwine-Balliro, Elizabeth Becker, Emersen Bennett, Luke Borkowski, Emily Conrad, Gavin Cairns, Mannat Dhanjal, Aiden Douglas, Kate Hearn, Mia Hoffmann, Ishaan Kataria, Maggie Kieres, Lily Kraft, Lilly Meade, Sampath Muthiah, Brandon Murphy, Seher Shah, Liyashree Srinath, Rebecca Wilks and Whitman Scott.

Stage crew members include Emilie Breidenbach, Alexa Burdine, Connor Costello, Callie Diefenderfer, Lia Georges, Nadia Mesko, Ava Schilleci, Charlotte Smyth, Emmeline Smyth, Evie Tillinghast and Owen Troxell.

Co-Director Jennifer Najarian said, “The students have been working hard to put together our performances of ‘Mascots’ and ‘Friday Night Sprites’ over the past few weeks. These plays are a great opportunity for the cast to practice stagecraft and show off their comedic chops.”

Najarian described these performances as “awesome learning experiences for everyone involved” and added the cast and crew are looking forward to showcasing the plays this weekend. Technical Director Brendan Davis, Co-Director Erin Knecht and Najarian appreciate the audience coming out to support the students.
