Fall is in full swing as we enjoy the last burst of brilliance from the trees that dot our neighborhoods and mountainsides and with the end of daylight saving time you may be feeling like it’s time to put on your pajamas as soon as the sun sets but you’d be missing out on a lot of fun events happening all over the township.
Thanksgiving break is right around the corner and Salisbury Township School District schools and offices will be closed Nov. 26 through Dec. 1. Preceding the holiday break, parent teacher conferences will be held Nov. 24 and 25.

Mark your calendars for “Light up the Night,” Salisbury Township’s first annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony 5-7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Franko Park. You won’t want to miss it as there will be live reindeer on site, festive music, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, toasted s’mores, hot chocolate and cookies as well as a chance to meet members of the Eastern and Western Salisbury fire departments.
If you are looking for more holiday-themed events, the Emmaus Public Library will host a Moravian star folding workshop Dec. 11.
