The chore for Rick Babyak during this offseason is to find players capable of adding to the team’s goals.
It’s the same to-do list he has had in the past. While he did find more goals from his team in the 2025 season, the Lady Falcons still need to generate offense to become competitive.
A year ago, Salisbury generated just six goals and was shut out 10 times in its 16 games. The goal production was up this season with the Falcons more than doubling their goals to 16 on the year and suffering one less shutout.
Looking at the Colonial League portion of the schedule, last season Salisbury finished its league schedule with a 0-12-2 record and was able to convert those two ties into victories this season. The Lady Falcons defeated Catasauqua and Jim Thorpe during the 2025 season and finished 2-12-0.
Defensively, there was also some improvement with the team allowing 71 goals in 16 games this year compared to the 81 goals they gave up in 2024.
While these may seem like small steps, there is hope that as the younger players who contributed to the increase in success this season continue to develop, the record will reflect the improvement both offensively and defensively.
Babyak loses five seniors – Amy Cadet, Samantha Conrad, Autumn Evans, Kaitlyn Neuhs, and Maddie Reis – from this team.
The 2025 roster had just three juniors, leaving the bulk of the roster to be made up of underclassmen players. With young players getting valuable varsity minutes this season the hope is that the Lady Falcons continue their move toward competitiveness next fall.
