Allentown man shot, killed inside Edward Lane, Catasauqua, home
A shooting Nov. 8 in the borough of Catasauqua has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man and a homicide ruling by the coroner’s office.
According to reports, Ti’Shaun Singleton, 19, of Allentown, was killed just before 6 p.m. inside a home in the 200 block of Edward Lane, Catasauqua. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said Nov. 9 that Singleton was the victim of a gunshot injury and ruled the death a homicide.
An autopsy was completed Nov. 10. According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center, the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the chest. Buglio confirmed the manner of death as a homicide.
On Nov. 10, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan reported the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force continues to investigate the incident.
“Once we have more information,” Holihan said, “we will release it at the appropriate time.”
In addition to the county homicide task force, Catasauqua Police Department, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and Coroner’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police-Troop M, Bethlehem, and North Catasauqua Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
According to Catasauqua Police Department reports, officers had responded to a disturbance in the same block Sept. 22, and North Catasauqua police assisted at the scene. Catasauqua Police Department was asked if the address of the September disturbance and the homicide was the same. At press time, the chief had not responded.
