Falcons shut out ES North, 7-0

For the Lady Falcons, it’s very true that defense wins games.

The Salisbury girls soccer team has put together three wins this season with two of them being shutouts and the third being a game where their defense allowed just one goal.

Their latest victory came in a nonleague game against East Stroudsburg North and saw Salisbury put up a season-high seven goals for a 7-0 win. Earlier in the week, Salisbury downed Catasauqua 2-0 as the team put together two wins in a four game stretch late in the season.

The two losses over the past week came against Moravian Academy and Lehighton. The Lions are in the Colonial League and District 11 playoffs, and Lehighton will likely make both the league and district playoffs as well.

No statistics for these games were made available.

The regular season is down to just two games as Salisbury (2-11-0 Colonial, 3-11-0) travels to Southern Lehigh and then hosts Oley Valley in a nonleague game on Thursday to finish the season.
