Coplay: Order potato filling by Nov. 14
St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is taking orders for its potato filling. There is a cost for either a 2-pound pan or a 13x9-inch pan.
Meal preorders are required by calling Karen at 610-653-2816 by Nov. 14. Pickup will be noon-2 p.m. Nov. 22 at the church.

American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St., is holding its annual turkey cash raffle Nov. 16 at the pavilion. Doors open noon, and drawings are 1-5 p.m.
Tickets are available for purchase at the social hall or at the club office. There will be free lunch and refreshments for ticket holders.

The American Club of Coplay will host its ninth annual Christmas party Dec. 5.
There is limited seating. Tickets are now on sale at borough hall, Coplay Eatery, Reph’s Auto and Samuel Owens Restaurant. Tickets are discounted if purchased in advance.

Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association and the borough will hold its Christmas tree lighting 4-6 p.m. Dec. 6. It promises to be entertaining and fun for all. Meet and greet Santa Claus and tell him what’s on your Christmas list.

Consider donating food to the Coplay Food Bank. Help those in need have the food they need through the holidays.
Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.
The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

The Coplay Scholarship Fund Committee plans to award two $5,000 scholarships to Coplay graduates who enrolled in a university, college, technical school or the Allentown Police Academy.

Coplay aerobics classes are held 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the borough hall auditorium. Bring dumbbells, a towel and a mat to enhance your workout.
There is a small cost by donation.

Coplay American Legion Post 426 has a special mailbox in front of the Post at 134 S. Second St. Worn-out American flags can be deposited into the mailbox for the Post to properly destroy the flags.
