Fleeing or attempting to elude police
A 19-year-old male motorist, of Salisbury Township, was arrested Oct. 29 for allegedly fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving without lights to avoid identification or arrest, reckless driving and careless driving after authorities tried to stop the motorist “for operating a motor vehicle at about double the speed limit in the 500 block of East Emmaus Avenue,” according to Salisbury police. The male struck a parked vehicle along Hausman Avenue where he was taken into custody, according to authorities.
Simple possession
An 18-year-old Salisbury High School student was charged Oct. 31 with simple possession after allegedly being in possession of a vape device that field tested positive for THC, according to Salisbury police.
Unwanted person
Officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for an unwanted person on the hospital campus Oct. 29, according to Salisbury police. Officers located the person and helped remove the person from the area. No arrests were made, according to authorities.
Theft from vehicle
A Salisbury Township resident reported various items were removed from his vehicle in the 3200 block of Capital Street Oct. 28, according to Salisbury police. Someone also rummaged through a vehicle in the same area. Nothing was reported removed from the vehicle in the second incident.
Scam
A Salisbury Township resident reported a jury duty scam after sending money to an unknown person after they told the resident she missed jury duty, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Oct. 30.
Vehicle theft
A resident of the 3200 block of Capital Street learned his 2009 green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was taken from his home, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Oct. 29.
Disturbances
An Easton motorist reported a disturbance in the parking lot of 1243 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Oct. 31, according to Salisbury police. An unknown person allegedly jumped on the hood of the motorist’s vehicle and tried to open the door for no reason, according to Salisbury police. The person fled the area on foot.
A disturbance was reported in the 3500 block of Regent Court Oct. 31, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
A disturbance between two customers was reported at retailer Ross Dress for Less, South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., Oct. 31, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
A disturbance was reported in the 1000 block of East Susquehanna Street Oct. 28, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
A disturbance was reported in the 1400 block of Sage Street Oct. 29, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
Salisbury police officers were called to a parking lot at Salisbury Elementary School, 1400 Gaskill Ave., for a disturbance Oct. 29, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
Assist
Officers were called to coffeehouse Starbucks, 3300 Lehigh St., to help firefighters after smoke was reported in the building Oct. 28, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted as needed, according to authorities.
Violations approved
A total of 32 bus violation videos were approved between Oct. 27 and Nov. 1 to bring the school year’s total to 98 approved violations, according to Salisbury police.
