According to news reports, first responders were called to the house in the 200 block of Ridge Street around 2 a.m. Smoke was reportedly seen coming from the second floor windows of the residence. In an email to The Press Oct. 16, Emmaus Fire Inspector/Acting Fire Marshal Ryan Crawford described the investigation as “still ongoing at this moment” adding in an email Oct. 27 the fire “does not appear to be intentional.”
